Valentine's party!

Drew finally got a BIG BOY bed!! Well, his crib had turned into a toddler bed, and then we just converted it to a full sized bed... So far, so good - I think he likes it!

Drew signed all his Valentine's for school. Most of them said, "Drem," but hey, that "W" is hard!! lol

Drew's class has a party for every holiday and the parents are in charge of putting together the activities. I was one of the parents in charge of the Valentine's party...and it was a success! Here's Drew concentrating hard on decorating his mailbox for the Valentine exchange.

Peek! Couldn't stand waiting until the end of the exchange to see what cards and treats he was getting!

The kids sat in a circle with their mailboxes and then took turns in the middle of the circle handing out their Valentine's.

Chad's parents took us all to the circus as a birthday present for Drew. Drew LOVED it! It was in the middle of downtown Charlotte where the Bobcats play. There was a lot going on the entire show - some of it made Emma a little nervous, but she liked it for the most part. Here's Drew with his new circus gear! Enroll him in clown school!

The elephants were huge! Pretty amazing!

The horses were pretty neat - they ran SO fast in those tiny circles!

I loved how the elephants held onto each other's tails. Emma kept making elephant sounds when they came out!

70 degrees in February!! We got to run around outside and burn some energy.

Here's the end of Drew's last basketball practice - he did so well this year!! (Amazing improvement since he took the same class last year!)
I'm rushing around in the morning trying to get Drew ready for school, and Emma and my bags packed to go to the Y...and here's what the kids are doing...

We've had some amazing February weather this week! Here's Emma out in the backyard climbing around on the picnic table.

Drew was supposed to shoot a little jumpshot, but if he'd been dribbling this would have been a decent layup!

Drew is obsessed with racing and being first - to the point of it even being an issue on the playground at school! BUT, we're trying to teach him that at basketball, it's a good thing and a fun thing to race... He's pretty fast and would have won this race if he didn't stop to look at all the other kids. haha

Drew practices the "give and go" with Chad at home, and here he is doing it at basketball practice. Before he went, he reminded Coach Matthew to raise the goal up for him to shoot...

A few of the kids got to dribble/shoot the ball while the other kids practiced defense...so funny!
