Happy birthday Drew and my parents visit

Last weekend we celebrated Drew's third birthday with a Lightning McQueen party! My parents came into town on Friday night. Saturday, my mom helped get things ready for the party - here's the cupcakes and Oreo "tires" we came up with!
We brought in the outdoor picnic table and set it up for a painting station. Drew and Olivia were the only ones interested in painting - and they had some wonderful masterpieces!
We made cupcakes that Drew could eat (egg and milk free) for him and regular ones for everyone else. Here he is just before he blew out the candle! (and I think just before the candle fell over and almost into his lap - good thing Chad set it back up before things went up in flames!)
Drew's neighborhood buddies Meena and Leif licked off the icing on their cupcakes! The birthday boy!

Emma got to wear a dress (and bow) to the party.

And she even allowed a party hat!
If you come visit this house, you better like Candyland! Here's one of the many rounds Chad and my dad played with Drew while my parents were visiting!
It was really nice out on Sunday, so we got to kick around Drew's new soccer ball and play a little baseball. I got an action shot - look at that intense face with his eyes on the ball!

On Drew's birthday (Wednesday) we got to enjoy some more warm weather and play! Here's Drew drbbling.

Me and my little buddies!!

Such pretty blue eyes! He's growing up too fast!

This past weekend Emma mastered standing up inthe middle of the room. Here she is doing it outside.

Pretty happy little girl!!

Pretty brown eyes! (and TWO big bottom teeth! top ones have broken through but aren't big enough to see much.)

Berries and bananas jar food smile!

Last day of Bball and Emma standing

Drew is wearing the Charlie Brown shirt and holding the Charlie Brown doll.

I think he was proud of the trophy he "won" at his last day of basketball!

Here's Drew with Coach Matthew.

Here's Emma's version of peekaboo!

She loves to stand on her own. Here she is standing at Drew's basketball practice. She doesn't grab things and cruise - she either stands still or walks behind a push toy.

Here's what you get when you try to get a two year old to carry out a play with their newly learned skills! HAHA

And here's another of Emma standing.
